We strive to bring you the healthiest, freshest and most authentic Chinese food available. Our dishes are prepared fresh daily, from ingredients delivered daily and using home-made sauces that we create in our own kitchen – daily!

Dine-in, take-out or opt for catering at T.S. Ma. Either way, we take your dining experience seriously. We offer large portions at reasonable prices. We can accommodate special dietary requests, and vegetarian and gluten-free dishes are part of our regular menu.

We utilize healthy cooking methods like grilling, steaming and plain sautéing our meals, with fresh garlic and ginger and our own home-made sauces. Even our soy sauce is top notch!

Where other Chinese restaurants use plain white meat chicken, we use white chicken tenderloin. Where they use lower quality cuts of beef, we use flank steak. We don’t use any canned vegetables – only the freshest ingredients will do at T.S. Ma!

After opening restaurants in New York City in 1986 and Millburn’s Ling Ling in 1995, Thomas arrived in Montclair and finally realized his culinary dream when he opened T.S. Ma in 2006. The restaurant rocketed to success, attracting a clientele of die-hard fans who returned over and over again for Thomas’ food.

T.S. Ma has won the Best of Essex Award for Best Chinese Restaurant for the past nine years! Reading the reviews, it’s no wonder why, as customers repeatedly call it the freshest, best-tasting Chinese food they have ever eaten.

In addition to T. S. Ma’s Upper Montclair location at 199 Bellevue Avenue, a second restaurant recently opened in the Wyckoff Shopping Center at 637 Wyckoff Avenue, Wyckoff, NJ. This new restaurant features a larger dining area, and also offers take-out, delivery, and online ordering. The Wyckoff restaurant was designed by Studios Go Architecture in Long Island City, NY, in a modern style with Asian influence.
