Since 2006, T.S. Ma Chinese Cuisine in Upper Montclair has been preparing healthy, flavorful dishes, with even the most popular Chinese dishes recreated with health concerns in mind.
Innovative is the best way to describe chef/owner Thomas C. Ma’s approach to Chinese cooking. The delectable dishes on the extensive menu are prepared with 21st century tastes and health concerns in mind. “All of our ingredients are fresh,” notes Thomas Ma. “We never use canned vegetables.” The restaurant is pleased to announce that they have developed a new menu that highlights a wide range of gluten free specialties, as well as added the ability to modify dishes to satisfy the requests of health conscious customers.
With the gluten free food trend rising in the United States, Ma has spent a great deal of time researching ingredients and testing different cooking methods to ensure his specified dishes are 100% gluten free and still taste great. Wheat free soy sauce, starch free marinades, wheat free corn starch and potato starch for frying are all new ingredients he now uses. All dishes are prepared and cooked with cholesterol and trans fat free Canola oil, and can be steamed, grilled or plain sautéed with fresh garlic and ginger for a light and healthy dining experience.
